Personal information you disclose to us

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for the Services, express interest in our products, take part in activities on the Services, or otherwise contact us. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name and email address.
Project and model data
When you use Heron inside your design software, Heron accesses the parts of your model and project that you choose to share with it, so it can answer your questions and carry out the changes you approve. This may include geometry, model elements, parameters, drawings, and project metadata. We treat this data as confidential and process it only to provide the Services and as described in this notice.
Payment data
If you make a purchase, we may collect the data needed to process it, such as your payment card details. This is handled and stored by our payment processor, not by us.
Sensitive information
We do not process sensitive information.
Social media login data
We may let you register using an existing social media account. If you choose to do this, we will collect the profile information described in "How do we handle your social logins?" below.

DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?
In Short: Yes. Heron is powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and similar technologies.
Heron's core features are powered by AI. We provide these through third-party AI service providers ("AI Service Providers"), which may include Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Cloud AI.
To generate answers and suggestions, and to carry out the changes you approve, your inputs, including the parts of your model and project you choose to share, and the outputs are shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers. We enter into agreements with these providers to protect your data and, where the provider offers it, to prevent your data being used to train their models except as needed to provide the Services.
You must not use Heron's AI features in any way that breaks the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.
HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
In Short: If you register or log in using a social media account, we may receive certain information about you.
Our Services may let you register and log in using a third-party social media account. If you do, we will receive certain profile information from your provider, which often includes your name, email address, and profile picture. We will use it only for the purposes described in this notice. We do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your information by your social media provider, so we recommend you review their privacy notice.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Model and project data is retained only as long as needed to provide the Services to you, or as you direct. When we no longer have a business need to process your information, we will delete or anonymise it, or, where that is not possible, securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through organisational and technical security measures.
We have put in place appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the information we process. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is ever completely secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorised third parties will never be able to defeat our security. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. Withdrawing your consent: where we rely on your consent to process your information, you have the right to withdraw it at any time by contacting us. This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing before the withdrawal.
Opting out of marketing: you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. We may still send you service-related messages that are necessary for your account.
Account information: to review, change, or terminate your account, please contact us. On your request, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases, though we may keep some information to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or comply with law. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can activate to signal your privacy preference. There is no finalised uniform standard for recognising and responding to DNT signals, so we do not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this notice.
